Big Thanks for the Small Things: A Thanksgiving Reflection
Dec 22, 2024Thanksgiving Week Reflections
It’s Thanksgiving week, and while the season is all about turkey, pie, and pumpkin spice everything, I’ve been doing what we all secretly love to do this time of year: reflecting on gratitude. And wow, do I have a lot to be thankful for!
Let’s kick it off with my kitchen. It’s not just a room with a stove and fridge—it’s the beating heart of my home. It’s where I bake sweet treats, attempt Pinterest-worthy candy creations, and (more often than not) create a beautiful mess. But beyond the recipes, my kitchen holds so much love. It’s where family memories are made, where laughter echoes, and where love is stirred into every dish.
Gratitude for Community and Purpose
You know what else I’m thankful for? YOU. Yes, you, reading this blog. Your support means everything to me.
As a leadership and team-building trainer, it’s an absolute privilege to help others grow. Whether it’s guiding teams to communicate better, helping them discover their strengths, or watching the “a-ha!” moments during workshops, I find so much joy in helping others thrive.
Small Joys That Make Life Sweeter
And then, there are the small joys—like Pilates. Yep, I’m that person who wears their Club Pilates shirt like a badge of honor. Movement has been my go-to for energy, balance, and a little slice of sanity. It’s one of those everyday things that reminds me to keep showing up, even when life gets busy.
The Power of Gratitude
Gratitude isn’t just a buzzword or a Thanksgiving tradition—it’s a mindset. When we take a moment to reflect on what we’re thankful for, whether it’s our family, our work, or even that first sip of coffee in the morning, life just feels... sweeter.
This Thanksgiving, I challenge you to pause and think about your own gratitude list. Big things, small things, and all the little moments in between.
What’s on Your Gratitude List?
I’d love to hear what’s on your gratitude list this week! Drop me a comment or send me a message—I’m all ears. And while you’re at it, let’s keep the gratitude rolling every day, not just on Thanksgiving.
Wishing you a week full of love, laughter, and second helpings.
