Major Business Challenge: As a student it has been very challenging to make deliveries to certain locations.

Major Business Achievement: A time when I successfully baked 200 cupcakes and 3 big cakes in one day.

How Do You Source For Finances To Run Your Business?

My parents bought my start up equipment for me in January as a form of encouragement and to support my new interest. Usually, they say I am never serious with things like this so they were very excited that I had found my passion; they are always willing to lend me some money to run my business then I pay them back once I get paid by my client.

Where Do You See Yourself In 7 Years?

In 7 years I should be done with my Masters Degree in Creative Advertising and I would have established Cakes n Ribbons to the extent that I would be able to cater for at least 3 out of 5 weddings in a weekend.

If You Are Given 50k To Invest In Your Business What Would You Use it For?

I would get a very big oven and some other equipment which would make baking easier and faster for me.

Advice Someone Who Is Scared To Start A Business:

Don’t be scared just start; conquer your fear. You would inspire people whether you think you’re good enough or not.

My parent from day 1; Mum; thanks for taking me to the cake ingredients shop that day. Dad; thanks for giving me my start up capital. Big brother; you are my biggest PR. Sister; the world would have been incomplete without you, thanks for always assisting me.
